For the last three weeks I’ve been eating and breathing this crowdfunding campaign. Tonight I’ve also drafted my application to the Wellington City Council Arts & Culture Fund. It’s a whirlwind.
This blog will be far shorter than usual but here is what I’d like you do know, if you want to help me get my book published and meet the $22,000 goal I’ve set to make this happen.
(1) Go online to PledgeMe.co.nz at 9am next Tuesday 28 July and pre-order a copy of the book ‘The Residents: Made in Wellington’. You can even buy two if you like. Anyone who buys two or more copies automatically gets invited to the book launch in October. Imagine how great that will be…
(2) If you can’t afford to buy a book, share about it on your social media channels and tell people about what I am doing. Word of mouth is so powerful. Tell your mum. Tell your sister. Tell your dog. Help me get the word out.
(3) If you’re a business, consider stocking the book. You will not only be stocking a great Christmas present and a great book, but be supporting the Wellington economy and our identity as a hot house for talent.
If you have any questions about the campaign, or think you can help in some other way (i.e. hosting me to talk at your work during the month of the PledgeMe) then email me lucy@Theresidents.co.nz.
I’ve got this! I can do it! I want to give this to you. I’m just about there! Let’s go!
