David Jones put on a real party on the eve of its opening (28 July) - and this Vlog shares the night with you all!

The event was by far and away one of the fanciest events I've ever been to, with champagne and catering from Logan Brown. I felt very lucky to have been invited along as a blogger.

What went down?

We were wined and dined amongst the best of the best of New Zealand's folk (including Kate Sylvester, Karen Walker, and John Key for starters), introduced to some Aussie Guests (beautiful Jessica Gomes - DJs ambassador - and their Chairman Ian Moir) and a swag of amazing designer brands like Chloe, Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, YSL, Balenciaga and Karen Walker, Deadly Ponies and Kate Sylvester. I also got to meet the beautiful Emma Cree of Emma and Jane from A Tale of Two Citys and hang with my old pal Shirin who recently started at Positively Wellington Tourism. Watch the video for more!
