Hiya, I'm Lucy!
Thanks for stopping by! I love Wellington and think it is one of the best places in the world to live - but I didn't always feel like that. All I needed to do was do a bit of digging and unearth the stories of the innovative and passionate people to totally change my perspective. The Residents makes it easier to find out about, and connect with the people & places that make up our city.
Now I live in the bay with my boyfriend, Matt, in a tiny tumbledown villa, overlooking the harbour. When I am not working as a policy advisor, I'm running around like a mad woman generating content for this blog. Posts go up Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7am weekly and at random times if I do a Saturday post, but usually afternoon. If you want to collaborate, please request a media kit by asking in the subject line, emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
In 2016 I won the Wellington on a Plate social media reporter competition & took over the festival social media for three days. I've also been published in the world's first major blogger International Magazine 'Blogosphere' (UK) and went on my first press trip to Thailand in November 2016. That month I also presented a workshop on Blogging Hacks at The Fantail Network annual symposium at the ASB Cube in Auckland, New Zealand. I've given workshops for Collider at Biz Dojo Wellington and even was on the cover of Wellington Woman Magazine in March 2017. ALSO, I was lucky enough to be nominated in April 2017 for an Absolutely Positively Wellingtonian Award for my work on The Residents... and WON!!
Who knows what adventure is next?!
